Robert Floyd is a seasoned cybersecurity and technology leader serving as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for Horry County Government. With a career spanning over 30 years, he’s tackled complex challenges across industries, from founding a tech firm to driving enterprise security. A systems thinker at heart, Robert excels at building repeatable, reliable solutions—whether streamlining operations, securing hybrid IT environments, or mentoring high-performing teams.
A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, he’s led with a servant’s heart, blending expert knowledge with pragmatic strategy to deliver results in dynamic settings. His experience includes developing cutting-edge applications, modernizing IT infrastructures, and aligning security with business goals using NIST and agile frameworks. Robert holds an M.S. in Management of IT from the University of Virginia, an M.A. in Leadership from Liberty University, and certifications like CISSP and CCISO.
